These “Cleveland Browns” shoes are designed to change over time, with a unique patina developing as they get scuffed and worn.
To achieve the “scuffed patina” effect I lay down five coats of a vibrant orange, and then three coats of a high-gloss finisher.
Then just a couple coats of a rich brown, but no protective coating or finisher, so that over time the brown will wear off, and the bright orange under-coat will pop through.
